DOCUMENTED HISTORY

I. Roxbury, the 2018 Release, and Early Output

8 Zipp — Dominique Carpenter-Grady — is a rapper from Roxbury, Boston, an origin confirmed directly by the artist himself in his own Spotify and Instagram bios and documented separately by Sound of Boston and by miixtapechiick.com, which describes a difficult upbringing on Humboldt Ave. Per his own distributor bio, he was released from pretrial custody on December 2, 2018, after roughly three years — a moment he frames as his turning point toward music.

In 2021 he releases the EP Love, Zipp (July 3) — his first documented output after that release — and the single "Live" (August 24). That same year brings what miixtapechiick.com describes as his first Billboard-adjacent moment: a guest feature on "Invisible," from Millyz's album Blanco 4 (August 20, 2021), which the same source credits with earning him his first Billboard plaque — Blanco 4 reportedly reached #93 on Billboard's Top Album Sales. A photo of the artist himself holding that plaque independently confirms the text the source describes: "Billboard — Top Current Album Sale[s] — #93 — MILLYZ — Perfect Time Music."

2022

II. 2022 — FN.F12 and Talk To My City

2022 is his most prolific year to that point: the EP Talk To My City, I Know They Listening (October 24, five tracks, preceded by the singles "What Boston Sound Like" and "Press Play") and the album FN.F12 (July 10, twelve tracks), which includes "Never Be All Love" alongside Ron Browz. He also releases the single "Take A Journey" (feat. Greatness, August 16).

2023

III. 2023 — Order Up and the Hate Be Real Remix

The album Order Up (July 3, 2023, ten tracks) includes the solo cut "Hate Be Real" — distinct from the same-titled remix he releases later that year, on October 9, 2023, with Millyz and Smoke Bulga. That year also brings the singles "In The Hips" (feat. $hayBand$, January), "Cash App" (feat. Rosewood Bape, April), "Martin & Gina" (May), and "Fiening" (feat. Neezy Beatz, December).

2024

IV. 2024 — the Federal Indictment and Three Albums

2024 holds two documented realities side by side, neither overshadowing the other. On August 28–29, 2024, he is indicted and arrested in a federal gang sweep (Operation Lost Raiders, the Roxbury H-Block case), alongside Trea Lankford ("Heffna Boss Don") and others. That same year he releases three albums: Who Would've Thought (January 26, nine tracks, including "Boston To Brockton" with Cez and "4 The Block" with Q Philly), Zipp'N Brickz (August 28, eight tracks, a joint project with King Brickz, including "Can't Even Lie" with King Brickz, Cez, and Thali), and Work In A Glass House (October 10, eight tracks, including "11:11 LA" with Say Blanco and Cez). He also releases the single "Wankstas" (July 26, weeks before the arrest).

2025

V. 2025 — the Guilty Plea and Continued Singles

On February 11, 2025, he pleads guilty to conspiracy to distribute PCP and synthetic cannabinoids, over smuggling drug-saturated paper into MCI-Norfolk prison. Despite the ongoing legal process, output continues: the singles "Heavy Shit Talkin" (May 9), "Rap Vultures Freestyle" (with ripe—tanjerines., August 6), and "Clover Leaf" (August 25).

2026

VI. 2026 — Sentencing, Self-Surrender, and Scheduled Releases

On June 15, 2026, U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani sentences him to one year and one day in federal prison, plus three years of supervised release. On August 10, 2026, he self-surrenders to begin serving the sentence, posting on Instagram, per miixtapechiick.com, "a minor setback for a major comeback." The album 8 Pack, Vol. 2 (March 2, 2026, eight tracks) and the single "Yo Soy Malo" (August 7, 2026) were both released before that self-surrender — almost certainly recorded and scheduled in advance, a reasonable inference about release scheduling, not a confirmed fact about his activity at that moment.
