G FREDO

G Fredo is a Massachusetts-based artist, part of H$M — his own collective and label, per his own Spotify bio: "Part of Boston's H$M collective and label, Rapper G Fredo pioneered the city's variety of drill music in the late 2010s."

His earliest indexed single, "They Don't Know," was released February 21, 2018, via HSM.

HSM4L (2019), his first 13-track album, was followed by Karma (2020, 19 tracks) and its Deluxe edition (23 tracks) — both via HSM/Amuseio AB. Never Forever (2020, 4-track EP) and Only the 3rd Chapter (2021, 9 tracks) continued that steady release pace.

In June 2020, G Fredo — legally Michael Brandao — was one of the defendants in a federal RICO (organized crime) case in Boston. He pleaded guilty in April 2022 to RICO conspiracy and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and on January 25, 2023, federal judge Leo T. Sorokin sentenced him to 108 months in prison, after 32 months already served in pretrial custody. His most frequent collaborators, 7981 Kal and Hamma Thang, were co-defendants in the same case.

He continues serving his sentence, and his musical activity never stopped — his own YouTube channel directly confirms he kept recording and releasing while incarcerated. FRIZZBLOCK was released January 27, 2023, two days after sentencing, and later singles like Collect Call (2025), In That Cell (2025), and Lockdown (2026) — their titles referring directly to that period — document this stretch of his career.

Since 34 Baby (2022), his catalog has been released under his own label, 34babies, with FRIZZBLOCK (2023) and Karma 2 (2024) as his most recent full-length projects. His release activity has stayed steady into 2025 and 2026, with Collect Call (2025), HSM Shottas pt. 2 (2025, with 7981 Kal, Illy Dee, and HSM Ace Boogie), and Lockdown (2026, with 7981 Kal, Illy Dee, and Hamma Thang).

7981 Kal is his most consistent and extensive collaborator, documented from his earliest years through his most recent releases.

Devils out Early (2024, with 7981 Kal) and Consequences (2024, with J$$ and BiggucciRayRay) document his most recent collaborative work, alongside In That Cell (2025) and DPY (2026) — both with Lil Deedee.
