BIOGRAPHY
I. Identity
Termanology is the stage name of a rapper and record producer from Lawrence, Massachusetts, born October 8, 1982. A Massachusetts House of Representatives citation — photographed in his own hand — names him Daniel Carrillo.
He connected early with Gang Starr Foundation member Krumbsnatcha, which led to a relationship with DJ Premier; his single "This Is Hip Hop" earned him a spot in The Source's "Unsigned Hype" column, and the DJ Premier-produced "Watch How It Go Down" (2006) became his breakout single.

II. Showoff, ST. Records, and a career built on partnership
In 2006, fellow Lawrence native Statik Selektah turned Showoff into a record label and made Termanology's debut, Out the Gate, its first release. That same project has since been redistributed digitally under Termanology's own imprint, ST. Records — both are true, distinct facts about the same album's history. Out the Gate features two tracks with vocalist Lee Wilson, "Circle Of Life" and "Baby" — a collaboration that resurfaced in 2013 on "Fight for Love," credited to Lee Wilson featuring Termanology and Lito MC Cassidy.
ST. Records has remained the constant thread across his catalog since, alongside Brick Records (roughly 2011–2021) and, most recently, Perfect Time Music Group. His partnership with Statik Selektah runs the deepest and longest: the two released their first full "1982"-titled collaborative album in 2010, the start of a series that continues today, and Statik Selektah's own biography credits introducing Termanology nationally and building Showoff around him.
His discography also includes major joint "camp" albums with Lil' Fame of M.O.P. (Fizzyology, 2012), Slaine (Anti-Hero, 2017), Dame Grease (Set in Stone), Tek of Smif-N-Wessun (Teknology), Bronze Nazareth (Things I Seen), and — most recently — a trilogy of albums with Houston's Paul Wall.

III. Current Era
Repeat Repeat Repeat, his third album-length collaboration with Paul Wall, released August 14, 2026 on Perfect Time Music Group — a 12-track project that includes Masspike Miles on "Blessings" and Ea$y Money on "Stoned Island," both ERA617-documented relationships.
He is the founder of Good Dad Gang, an apparel and lifestyle brand, and currently hosts Showoff Radio on Eminem's SiriusXM channel Shade45. His release pace has stayed constant since late 2024, with new co-primary albums (Teknology, Things I Seen, MADE, Shut Up And Write) and a run of new singles alongside his established camp partners.
