BOYS LIKE GIRLS

Boys Like Girls formed in Andover, Massachusetts, in late 2005. Martin Johnson, on vocals and guitar, recruited Bryan Donahue, John Keefe on drums, and Paul DiGiovanni to complete the original lineup.

The band released their self-titled debut album, Boys Like Girls, in 2006 — the starting point of their catalog within the pop punk and pop rock of the Massachusetts scene.

Love Drunk (2009) marked the height of their commercial visibility, with "Two Is Better Than One" — a duet with Taylor Swift — as their most recognized single to date.

Crazy World, released in 2012, closed the band's first studio era before a long stretch without new music.

Sunday at Foxwoods (2023) arrived more than ten years after Crazy World, with "Blood and Sugar" as part of that return to the studio — their first new music in over a decade.

On October 26, 2023, Boys Like Girls played to roughly 5,000 attendees at a sold-out date at Boston's MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park — a homecoming show for a band formed less than 25 miles away, in Andover. That night became The Homecoming (Live From The MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park), a live album and concert film released September 8, 2025.

In 2026 the band is running two tours: "The Soundtrack of Your Life," with shows for the debut album and Love Drunk's anniversary (March–May), and "The Speaking Our Language Tour" alongside Emo Nite (September–October, with a Boston date). On August 29, 2026, they also presented their own show, "Soundtrack of Your Summer Festival," at Boston's Leader Bank Pavilion. No new studio album or single has been confirmed for 2025–2026 — this period's activity is anniversary programming and live shows, not new recording.
