PROFILE

PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY

I. Alecia Orsini Lebeda, film producer

Alecia Orsini Lebeda — credited professionally as “Alecia Orsini,” “Alecia Orsini Lebeda,” or “Alecia 'AJ' Orsini Lebeda,” depending on the project — is a producer and line producer with more than a decade's career in independent and commercial film in Massachusetts. No documented credit lists her as a director, with the single exception of one short she co-directed — her core work, across nearly her entire filmography, is production.

She trained at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she earned a B.F.A. in Film and Television.

FEATURES AND SHORTS

II. A career as a line producer

Her line-producing filmography includes the features “What They Left Us” (directed by Justin Giddings), “Fox” (Quinn Quinlan), “Love of Your Life” — the Boston unit, directed by Rachel Morrison — “Ode to Mary Jo” (Justin Liberman), “Same Same but Different” (Lauren Noll, which premiered at South by Southwest in 2026), and “Hello Beautiful” (Ziad Hamzeh) and “Crooked Finger” (Julie Halprin and Jason [the source consulted doesn't preserve the full surname]); plus “First & Forever” (Steve Grimaldi) and “So Close” (Dara Bruselovsky) as producer at the pre-production stage, “The Snowball Effect” (Chris Lang, 2022) as producer, “The Arborist” (Andrew Mudge) as unit production manager, and “High Tide” (Marco Calvani, 2024) as production coordinator.

In short film, she has produced “Haters” (Caro Ribeiro), “Sundown” (Katrina Whalen), “Actualization” (Jaina Cipriano), “Until Further Notice” (Thato Rantao Mwosa), “Morphic” (Malik Maliki), and “Knights and Relationships” (Sam Tung, as line producer) — and co-directed and produced “Late Fall” alongside Abigail Jean Lucas. Her commercial and music-video work includes Dropkick Murphys' “Chesterfields & Aftershave,” FIFA's “Stories from the Cities: Boston” campaign, the New England Revolution's 30th-anniversary kit release, and projects for McGraw Hill and Toppan Merrill.

HER ROLE ON THE PROJECT

III. “Who's There?” (2024)

On “Who's There?,” the horror short directed by Ryan Doris, Alecia Orsini Lebeda served as producer under the Imitation Films Partnership banner — her role was production exclusively; no credit ties her to directing that project.

BEYOND PRODUCTION

IV. Institutional leadership in New England

Beyond her production work, Orsini Lebeda has held leadership roles in New England's film industry: she is President Emerita of Women in Film and Video of New England (having previously served as its president) and President Emerita of Save MA Film Jobs, an organization supporting Massachusetts film tax incentives. She's also an adjunct professor at Lesley University, and runs her own production company, Good Natured Dog Productions, which she founded around 2011.

Her career has been based in Massachusetts — first in the Cape Cod area (Mashpee) and, more recently, in Medway, in the Greater Boston area.
