PROFILE
PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY
I. Luis Serrano, known as Tony Bizz
Luis Serrano is a filmmaker, writer, editor, and producer, professionally known as Tony Bizz. The biography he wrote and approved himself on his IMDb page describes him as "Luis 'Tony Bizz' Serrano, film director, producer, editor & audio engineer" — and IMDb's separate "Nickname" field records "Tony Bizz." Yet his own film credits on IMDb (Charles, No Peeking, Strangle) consistently credit him plainly as "Luis Serrano," without the nickname, across every role — director, writer, editor, producer, cinematographer, casting, or actor.
How he's presented shifts by channel. His current YouTube channel's About text (@LASFilmz, public name "L.A.S. Films") reads: "Official page of L.A. 'Tony' Serrano!" — using "Tony," not "Tony Bizz." His Instagram (@lasfilmz) displays the name "L.A. Serrano." "Tony Bizz" shows up most consistently in his production-company brand, "Tony Bizz Productionz" (his SoundCloud profile, his crowdfunding campaigns), his contact email (Tonybizzfilms@gmail.com), his Linktree's Snapchat label ("L.A. Tony Bizz Serrano"), and 2018–2019 horror-press coverage, which consistently introduced him as "Luis 'Tony Bizz' Serrano."
There's no ambiguity that this is one person: his own Linktree account (linktr.ee/laserrano) merges every variant into a single record — titled "@lasfilmz," with the username "laserrano," and one of its own outbound links labeled "L.A. Tony Bizz Serrano on Snapchat." This profile uses "Tony Bizz" as his recognizable professional name — how he introduced himself to the press and to his own production brand — while "Luis Serrano" is the name under which he's formally credited on IMDb for his actual directing, writing, and editing work.
ORIGINS
II. From the Bronx to Providence
Per his own IMDb bio — the only source found for this period — Luis Serrano was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and attended elementary school at Bronx C.S. 211. He later attended Central High School in Providence, Rhode Island, meaning the family had relocated to Providence by his high-school years at the latest. He now lives in Rhode Island.
That same bio says he taught himself the basics of recording audio and video, and has been a "film maker & audio engineer for over 13 years" — an approximate, undated claim typical of a user-editable IMDb bio field, not an independently verified figure. The earliest documented artifact of his work is "The Old Lady - Horror Short Film," uploaded to a now-dormant YouTube channel, "Tony Bizz Films" (@tonybizzfilms5741, 12 subscribers, one video), roughly dated to 2018 — it doesn't appear on his IMDb filmography.
2018–2019
III. Tony Bizz Productionz and the road to Charles
"Tony Bizz Productionz" (also styled "Tony BizZ ProductionZ") is the production-company brand under which Serrano groups his film and music-video work, based in Providence, Rhode Island — the same location confirmed by his SoundCloud profile and his Kickstarter campaign listing. The brand was already active by 2018, per press coverage from that period.
His first feature, Charles, was first funded through a Kickstarter campaign — "CHARLES: A Chucky Fan Film," run by "Tony Bizz, based in Providence, RI" — with a $5,000 goal that raised $1,541 (30%) from 53 backers, falling short. A follow-on Indiegogo campaign is referenced in 2019 press and corroborated by IMDb's own "thanks" credits, which name an Indiegogo backer. The trailer and campaign drew coverage from HorrorFuel, Dread Central, Bloody Disgusting, Horror-Con, and gruemonkey, plus a French-language Change.org petition requesting a subtitled release — Charles was explicitly billed as a non-profit fan film, not affiliated with any Child's Play rights-holder.
THE CENTRAL PROJECT
IV. Charles (2021)
Charles — credited on IMDb as "Charles (Video 2021)" and on AllMovie with a release date of November 1, 2021 — is, to date, Luis Serrano's most documented film project. His full IMDb credits show him co-directing alongside Mitch Francis; co-writing alongside Francis (story editor), Michael Lawrence, and Don Mancini (creator of the Child's Play characters); co-editing alongside Francis; serving as executive producer/co-producer alongside Mike Chibante and Michael Lawrence; and co-casting alongside Chibante. Serrano also appeared on camera as "Bobby the Landlord," alongside a cast that includes Shannon Ray Morris (Charles Lee Ray/Chucky) and Rossalyn Fontanilla (Tiffany Valentine).
The project's timeline spans several years: the crowdfunding campaign and earliest trailers circulated in 2018–2019, but the formal release date is 2021 (IMDb, AllMovie), and the full cut uploaded to YouTube carries the title "CHARLES | FAN FILM 2022." That upload has more than 3 million views — by a wide margin his most-watched video — and a companion "Behind The Scenes & Deleted Scenes" video has 36,000 views.
Mitch Francis, his co-director, has a substantial independent filmmaking career of his own: per his own IMDb bio, he started making one music video a week for local musicians in 2014, founded his production company, Cinemagic Pictures, in 2016, and has directed more than 150 music videos with over 20 million combined views. No other shared credit between Francis and Serrano appears on IMDb — Charles appears, from the available record, to be a one-off collaboration between two independent filmmakers, not an ongoing creative partnership.
2021–PRESENT
V. DJ O'Connor, the recurring collaborator
Where Charles was a one-time collaboration with Mitch Francis, writer-director DJ O'Connor (credited on IMDb under the alternate name "Diego Rodriguez-O'Connor") is documented working with Serrano across more projects — three, dated, against just one with Francis. On Charles, O'Connor is credited as a storyboard artist in the art department while Serrano directed. On No Peeking (2021), O'Connor directed and wrote while Serrano produced and shot it. On Strangle, still in post-production, O'Connor again directs and writes while Serrano takes on production, cinematography, and editing at once — his broadest technical role on an O'Connor project to date.
The relationship is also documented outside formal credits: O'Connor appeared as a guest on Serrano's own YouTube talk show, "The YIP-YAP Show with Tony Bizz (Christmas Special)." No Serrano project outside of Charles, No Peeking, and Strangle carries independent verification on IMDb or in the press.
CHANNEL AND BRAND
VI. LASFilmz and the music-video work
Serrano's active YouTube channel, publicly named "L.A.S. Films" under the handle @LASFilmz, describes itself as the "official page of L.A. 'Tony' Serrano — writer, director, video editor, audio engineer, and photographer, based out of New England Rhode Island." Several of the channel's videos carry the explicit "Official Music Video" label, with his own cinematography, editing, and direction under the channel's brand. The most frequent recurring artist is Lord Willin (sometimes alongside Maddie/Madeline Hogan): "THIS IS REVENGE," "COMPANY FLOWS" (with Redd Rebel), "BORN AS AN OUTLAW" (with Madeline Hogan), "Is It?" (with Maddie), "100" (a video explicitly labeled as AI-generated), "Money Move" (with P.A.F.F. and Oskymoron), and "Top Dogs" (with Sevin Soprano) — alongside Wolfman Jeckyll's "DEMENTED," and two 2025 videos: ShiReal's "ONE ME" and Willin & Maddie's "DEAD FRIENDS" (4K).
These credits are self-attributed — uploaded to his own channel, under his own brand — and weren't independently cross-checked against each artist's own channel or against the exact on-screen credit on each video; they're documented here as official music videos he produced and published, without elevating that into an individually-confirmed directing credit on every one. The channel also runs a recurring interview format, "The YIP-YAP Show," and a 2023 behind-the-scenes video, "GOOD BURGER 2 Behind The Scenes B-Roll (Providence, Rhode Island)," documenting his presence near that Nickelodeon/Paramount+ film's local production — content from his own channel, not an IMDb- or press-credited production role on that film. An earlier, now-dormant channel, "Tony Bizz Films" (@tonybizzfilms5741), predates @LASFilmz.
2024–2026
VII. Recent activity
No dedicated press coverage from 2024–2026 was found — his footprint in that window is channel-only. The most recent uploads observed include "The Book of MOTHER ROSE | Teaser" and "SNOOPY | A horror short film" (both from mid-2026), a music video for an artist identified as "CAPO," the short "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" with its own teaser, and the two 2025 music videos already noted above (ShiReal, Willin & Maddie). "The Book of MOTHER ROSE" appears to be a long-gestating, serialized horror project, preceded by test footage and a "Book of Evil" sneak peek years earlier.
Serrano remains active on a roughly monthly-to-bimonthly cadence through at least mid-2026. Strangle — directed by DJ O'Connor, with Serrano producing, shooting, and editing — is, as of this research, his one IMDb-listed project still in post-production; no new feature has been released since Charles (2021).
