BIOGRAPHY
Identity
PUERTO RICO
Sour is the artist name credited on every one of his releases on Spotify and Apple Music; on social media he uses the handle @sour_beat, and some press calls him Sour Beat. Apple Music recording credits identify him as Adrian Veguilla Espada (in one of them, Adrian Llandel Veguilla Espada).
His Spotify biography, supplied by the artist or his label, says he was born in Puerto Rico. According to Quip Magazine, he was raised in Orlando and grew up speaking English and Spanish.
He told EFE the name came from his father, who said in the family kitchen that he needed a nickname; he spotted a candy with the word “sour” on it and kept it. He likes the sour taste, he says, and has a raspy voice.
BIOGRAPHY
Producer at Y Entertainment
2019–2020
According to his Spotify biography, he joined the producer roster of Y Entertainment, the company Yandel leads, in 2019.
That same year he appears in the credits of “Pa Que Goce,” from Yandel's album The One (March 29, 2019): Apple Music credits him as producer, alongside Earcandy, and as songwriter, under the name “Adrian Vequilla Espada aka Sour” (the surname carries a label typo).
On Quién Contra Mí 2 (July 31, 2020), Apple Music credits him as a songwriter on “No Te Vayas” (with J Balvin), as Adrian Llandel Veguilla Espada, and as one of its producers, alongside The Ironix, Luny and Omg, with Predikador as co-producer. In April 2020, Metro Puerto Rico was already naming “su hijo Adrián también conocido como ‘Sour’” (his son Adrián, also known as Sour) among the possible producers of Yandel's next project.
BIOGRAPHY
First releases

2021 brought “El Palabreo” (March 23), with Izzy Guerra and Yandel; “Chequea” (May 14), with Ery; and “Baby Honey,” also with Ery, dated 2021 by Apple Music. “Rey” (August 20, 2021), with Eladio Carrión and Yandel, came out on Rimas Entertainment.

Singles and videos
2025
In 2025 his releases began coming out as Y Entertainment, licensed by Warner Music Latina. With Square Houze he released “Donde Estas” (May 23) and “Bandida” (June 5); Apple Music places both on the compilation Square Houze Vol. 1. The official video for “Donde Estas” was published on the Warner Música channel.
That fall came three solo singles, each with an official video on his own channel, SOUR OFICIAL: “Exotic” (October 17), “CYBERPUNK” (October 31) and “Bass” (November 14).
BIOGRAPHY
“EVERYDAY” and rage
JANUARY–MAY 2026
On January 29, 2026 he released “EVERYDAY,” now on Y Entertainment, with an official video. In an interview with EFE (February 3, 2026, carried by Metro Puerto Rico, Primera Hora and El Mundo of El Salvador) he presented it as his bet on rage, a style he wants to call “rabia” in Spanish. EFE described it as his first single; his Spotify discography, however, lists releases of his own going back to 2020.
On February 26, 2026 he appeared as a guest at Yandel Sinfónico at the Festival de Viña del Mar, in the Quinta Vergara, as reported by Emol. In March he talked about his music on Alofoke and on Telemicro's Vive el Espectáculo, and on April 10 he released “Volao.”
In May, Quip Magazine described him as bringing mosh-pit energy to Latin music. There he named Marshmello, Skrillex, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Ken Carson and Osamason as influences, and spoke of his goal of reaching Rolling Loud and building a mosh-pit community.

RABIA BETA
JULY–SEPTEMBER 2026
After “FKITUP” (July 3, 2026), on September 3, 2026 he released RABIA BETA, a five-track, 15:47 EP on Y Entertainment with no featured artists: “El Goat,” “LA PRESION,” “Killer,” “EVOLUCION” and “Te Ves Bien.” The official video for “LA PRESIÓN” came out the same day.
Apple Music credits him as lead vocalist and songwriter on all five tracks. Yandel is listed as a co-writer on every one, and production is by The Ironix and Javier Antonio Dang Diaz; Sour is not credited as a producer on the EP.
BIOGRAPHY
Current direction
2026
In his Quip Magazine interview he said he is leaving production behind to focus on being an artist, and that he has no writers; the RABIA BETA credits, by contrast, list co-writers, Yandel among them, and outside producers.
He also told Quip that touring with his father is a dream come true. The dates and venues of those tours are not documented in the sources consulted.

LEGACY / FAMILY CONTEXT
Family Context
Sour is the son of Yandel (Llandel Veguilla Malavé). He calls Yandel his father in his Quip Magazine interview, where he recalls being on stage with him as a child, in the Wisin & Yandel era. EFE identifies him as Yandel's son, and Emol reported “la participación de su hijo Sour Beat” (the participation of his son Sour Beat) at his father's Viña del Mar 2026 concert.
Apple Music recording credits show the same surnames, and Yandel is listed as a co-writer on all five RABIA BETA tracks. Gadiel, who shares credits with Sour on “Hondo” (2020), is Yandel's younger brother, according to Wikipedia.
