THE FILM'S STORY
RENNAVATION STUDIOS
The Studio and Its Team
Mobston is a RennaVation Studios production — the independent studio of director and cinematographer David Renna. The studio now lists itself in Louisville, Kentucky; earlier it worked out of Providence, Rhode Island, and in 2022 Renna was taking clients across New England, Boston included.
The project is built around Joe Rez, who leads the cast and, per the official poster, wrote the screenplay and the music. Simone Nocera, also in the principal cast, is credited as production designer.
THE STORY
Loyalty and Betrayal in the Underworld
The film enters Boston's organized-crime world through two men: Vincent “Vinny” Bellini, a boss who lives by a code of loyalty, and Antonio “Slick” Carbone, his unpredictable right hand. As the balance of power shifts and secrets come out, every alliance becomes a test.
The poster puts it in one line — “Loyalty… it's a dangerous thing” — and the studio's own page in another: “In Boston, everyone eventually pays.”
PRODUCTION
Boston on Screen
The credits say it plainly: “Filmed on Location in Boston, Massachusetts.” The studio's page names the North End — the city's historic Italian-American neighborhood — and the Chelsea Salt Pile, in the neighboring city of Chelsea, as the story's backdrop.
Renna handled much of the camera and post-production work himself: he directed, shot the film with Nelson Velasquez, and did the editing, color and visual effects. Nick Lancellotti recorded and designed the sound and did the final mix; Walter Stone served as gaffer and key grip.

As of October 26, 2026, the full film had 238,891 views and the trailer 68,835.
