Edgar "Dinero" runs a drug point inside a Puerto Rican public-housing project. As his crew unravels and he falls in love, a reggaeton career offers him a way out — but the violence closing in around him escalates toward a tragic ending just as that career starts to take off.
It was Daddy Yankee's first lead-acting role and his first producing credit. The film set Puerto Rico's single-day box-office record for a local production — roughly 12,000 tickets across 14 theaters, beating 2007's "Maldeamores" — and grossed $1,650,198 worldwide.
SOUNDTRACK CONNECTION
El álbum "Talento de Barrio" (Machete Music / El Cartel Records, 12 de agosto de 2008) acompañó el lanzamiento, con Daddy Yankee como productor ejecutivo.
