BIOGRAPHY
I. Identity
Before he was Akachi, he was Hunter Brown — a kid from Forestdale, a village within Sandwich, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, who came up through Sandwich High School. Four independent sources now confirm that legal identity: NBC10 Boston's coverage, CapeCod.com, Wikipedia's personnel credits for "Trim," and Future's own songwriter credit on "AFFILIATED" all consistently list Hunter Brown.
No middle name or birth date appears here. Both circulate only through a single fan-wiki source that no independent outlet has corroborated, so neither is published.
CHILDHOOD · CAPE COD
II. Musical Roots
He was eleven or twelve when SiriusXM's electronic-music programming first pulled him in. Finding FL Studio redirected that interest toward hip-hop entirely, and that pivot put him in the orbit of TM88 and Crash Dummy (C$D) — the production circle where his current sound took shape.
65TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS
III. Recognition
Two Best Rap Album nominations arrived at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in 2023. Neither outlet that reported the nominations named the specific albums involved, and none are guessed at here.
NOV. 2023 · ROXBURY
IV. Boston And Giving Back
Akachi calls Boston home now, and in November 2023 he put that on display: "LINK WITH THE BINK," a community event he organized for producers at Nubian Open Studios / Phoenix Down Recording in Roxbury, with NBC10 Boston on hand to cover it. (His Instagram bio still tags @echostudiosmass.)
A year later, in a November 2024 conversation with Studio Talks, he talked through a five-year plan built around launching his own label or imprint and putting that platform toward supporting Boston's scene.
V. Verified Credits And Certifications
The credit sheet runs long: production and songwriting work on JT's "OKAY," Playboi Carti and Future's "TRIM," Future's "AFFILIATED" (feat. Lil Durk), Ken Carson's "margiela" and "the acronym," Yeat's "3G" (feat. Lil Uzi Vert), DJ Khaled's "Keep Going" (feat. Lil Durk, 21 Savage, and Roddy Ricch), and Rod Wave's "Federal Nightmares," plus album-level credits on Chief Keef's Almighty So 2 and Wiz Khalifa's Khaotic.
Three of those releases carry RIAA Platinum certification — the single "OKAY," Future's I Never Liked You, and Playboi Carti's MUSIC — and one, Yeat's 2 Alivë, is RIAA Gold. None of that is a personal RIAA plaque in his own name; it's the documented scope of work he did on records that earned one.
VI. Publishing And Management
Warner Chappell Music handles his publishing and runs his Spotify songwriter page. Management is Jackson Losee, by his own account on Instagram. A claimed A&R relationship with 300 Entertainment doesn't appear here — the only source for it proved unreachable and nothing independent backs it up.
VII. Present
The credit flow hasn't slowed heading into 2025 and 2026, most recently with work on Wiz Khalifa's "Khaotic" in January 2026.
