BIOGRAPHY
I. Identity
Craig Lanciani records as C-Lance. Wikipedia's personnel credits across three albums, a separately linked Discogs artist page, and an IMDb composer credit all name him consistently; his own Spotify artist page signs its self-credited "C-Lance Hit List" playlist "By Craig Lanciani," and the Spotify streaming-milestone plaques he keeps himself print "PRESENTED TO CRAIG LANCIANI."
Asked directly, in a 2019 interview with mrcnnlive.com, where he's based, he answered "Boston, Massachusetts!" — the one documented instance of him naming the city himself. This profile stops short of calling him "Boston-native" or a "617 producer"; no available source supports those labels, and the point of this page is his verified production career, not an origin story.
2010–2012
II. The Foundational Years
His documented career traces back to his college years and firms up between 2010 and 2012 inside the Jedi Mind Tricks circle. He produced four tracks on Vinnie Paz's Season of the Assassin (2010) and four more on Paz's God of the Serengeti (2012), four tracks on La Coka Nostra's Masters of the Dark Arts (2012), and three on Army of the Pharaohs' Heavy Lies the Crown — which Apple Music dates to October 21, 2014, not 2012; this build corrects that grouping.
The same stretch produced Dope Sick, Madchild's album and the one release in C-Lance's entire career to carry an independently confirmed certification: Gold, from Music Canada in 2019, not the RIAA.
III. Continuous Underground Work
More credits followed with Jedi Mind Tricks (The Bridge and the Abyss, co-produced with Stoupe, though an exact date hasn't been independently verified this round), Snak The Ripper ("Ashes," "Lay Low"), and Chris Webby ("Full Steam Ahead," "Apex").
2017–PRESENT
IV. The Partnership With Merkules
"Way Down" (2017) opened what's become the defining relationship of his catalog: a growing run with Merkules that continued through "All Night Long" and "Woodstock 99" (2021), "In My Sleep" ft. The Game (2021), and "Bars of Death" with Twista (2023).
By 2025 that partnership carried most of Merkules's eighth album, Survivor's Guilt (Death Row Records) — an album-level credit on a record stacked with guests: Jelly Roll, Twista, Hopsin, Benny the Butcher, The Game, Shaquille O'Neal, D12, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and Conway the Machine among them. No individual per-track credit is claimed for any specific guest beyond what's independently verified. The collaboration kept going into 2026 with "20 Bucks," "Uphill," and "I Don't Wanna."
Spotify has twice marked the partnership's reach with physical plaques, presented to Craig Lanciani for two Merkules songs he produced crossing 50,000,000 streams ("Special Occasion") and 60,000,000 streams (a second Merkules track). Those are streaming-milestone recognitions, not a sales certification — the Dope Sick Gold award from Music Canada remains the only one of those on his record.
2020–2026
V. Wildcard And Other Own Projects
Alongside that work-for-hire catalog, he's built an instrumental body of work under his own name: Embrace the Darkness (2020, with Novatore), The Demon of Hiroshima and Infidel (Chopped and Screwed) (2021, the latter for Konspiracy Kamp), and Hell Above the Graveyard and Infidel (Instrumentals) (2022).
A 2023 Wildcard single he produced, "The Scorpio Element," grew into a full joint album the following year — The Zodiac Project (2024), billed as "Wildcard & C-Lance," with C-Lance as lead or sole producer. The run continues into 2025 and 2026 with Embrace the Darkness Part III, Steroid Era, and Machines (with Novatore).
