I. Identity

Joyner Lucas is a rapper and songwriter from Worcester, Massachusetts. The Boston Globe (January 15, 2021) describes him as born in Worcester in 1988, and Mayor Joseph Petty introduced him as born and raised in the city. III. Independence

On December 24, 2018, he announced on Instagram that he was leaving Atlantic to go independent (Complex). His album ADHD (March 27, 2020) came out on his own label, Twenty Nine Music Group, distributed by Tully — the music-creation platform he co-founded.
