MILLYZ

Millyz is a rapper from Cambridge, Massachusetts — he grew up between Cambridgeport and Riverside, three blocks from Central Square (Boston Globe, May 8, 2025; WBUR, June 3, 2022) — and had already spent five years recording by the time the series that would define his career arrived. Future Memories (2013, with The Colombians), The Short Bus (2016), and Sped Two: The Sequel (2017) document that earlier stretch: thirteen, seven, and twelve tracks laying down a foundation of steady work before 2018.

That year brought Blanco, the first of seven projects released at a nearly annual pace through 2025 — Blanco II (2019), Blanco 3 (2020), Blanco 4 (2021), Blanco 5 (2022), Blanco 6 (2023), and Blanco 7 (2025). The same stretch includes Saints & Sinners (2018), his joint project with Boston producer Statik Selektah: the first of two documented collaborations between the two; the second arrived in 2025 with “Ambition Of The Crown,” alongside Slaine.

Per the Boston Globe, Millyz relocated to New York, and his Boston shows became homecoming concerts; the paper names Jadakiss as his mentor, and WBUR describes him as his partner in the SoRaspy creative collective. That relationship is documented across four official videos between 2021 and 2025 — “Hopeless,” “Rearview Mirror,” “Moon Roof,” and “By My Lonely” (the last also featuring DJ Drama).

His releases are filed as self-productions — Apple Music's copyright lines read “℗ Millyz” — distributed through Perfect Time Music Group or Create Music Group depending on the project; since 2026 his singles carry the “Millyz/Hitmaker Distro” imprint.

Blanco 5 gave Millyz his first formal recognition: Album/EP of the Year at the 2022 Boston Music Awards (the over-one-million-streams category), per the winners list WBUR published December 15, 2022. Three years later, that recognition translated into something more visible: the Boston Globe announced Millyz would headline MGM Music Hall at Fenway on May 10, 2025, alongside Skrilla and Benny the Butcher — no longer the occasional homecoming show the same paper once described, but a headliner at home.

In 2024, Millyz joined Joyner Lucas's Not Now, I'm Busy tour as a special guest, which closed June 22 at Worcester's DCU Center (iHeart, March 12, 2024). The connection didn't end with the tour: on December 12, 2025, the two released “Corleone” together.

Between Blanco 7 and Blood In The Water 2 (both 2025) and the album R&P (March 2026), Millyz strung together his busiest release stretch since the years before Blanco: four singles in 2026 alone — “Cartier,” “Fire on it,” “Say Yea,” and “IG Money” — the last with an official video posted September 17, 2026.
