Rafito Y Yashua

The shared history behind Raphy Motiff and Yashua: from their earliest documented appearances to their work together as a duo.

Official video for "Volando" (2022), posted on Yashua's own channel — represents the duo, not either member solo.

SHARED HISTORY

2008–2010

I. Earliest Appearances

Rafito and Yashua appear documented together in several early archive records: "Te Vas A Divertir," on Konnexion Lokal 2 (2008); "Un Trago" (2010), a D Voiz solo single with Rafito and Yashua as guest artists; and a live performance at Noche Espectacular — presented by Letraz Fina Enterprize and CM Productions — alongside Brujo y D Voiz, AK Flow, and DJ Problem. Both also appear on Latin Embassy (2009), D Voiz's compilation: together as guest artists on "Vamo A Rebuliar," and separately, Yashua on "Chica Mala" and Rafito on "Andar Conmigo."

That same period also documents Rafito, individually, on "Tumba El Fronte" (2010), another D Voiz solo single — this time without Yashua as a guest.

II. Current Identities

Over time, Rafito established himself publicly as Raphy Motiff, and Yashua continued his career under Lyrikote Rekordz, today also known as Yashua Matandolo — each with his own individual profile in this archive. Neither has erased his earlier identity: the historical name, as it appears in records from that era, coexists with the current one.

Rafito also created Lyrikote Rekordz, the label tied to his later work with Yashua and to Yashua's own individual career — including "Volver Atrás" with Farruko (2016), his most recognized collaboration.

2020–2023

III. The Reunion

The duo didn't stay continuously active between its early period and the present — the archive documents no joint releases in the intervening years. Rafito Y Yashua reappeared as an active act with five singles verified on Apple Music: "Quiero Estar Contigo" and "Alas Negra" (both 2020), "Volando" and "Perreo Time" (both 2022), and "UnderSita" (2023).

Beyond that confirmed catalog, the duo kept uploading material to their YouTube channel into 2024 and 2025 ("Peliculeo," "Perdiendo Tiempo," "MiaMia") — real activity, though without the same official-distribution confirmation as the five singles above.
